Once you’ve cycled this route, you’ll know that the northern part of Essen has lots to offer: from the city centre, you pass numerous sights until you get to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Zollverein, the tourist hotspot of Essen. An additional route, which is 13 kilometres long, will also take you to the Rhein-Herne-Kanal, also known colloquially as the "Kumpel-Riviera”.
