Anyone travelling to Essen with a motorhome and wanting to park centrally can now do so. Five motorhome parking spaces have been set up on Baedekerstraße, including an electricity supply station (there is no water supply or disposal). You can park and stay overnight here for a maximum of three days for seven euros per day. The ticket can be taken from a parking ticket machine.

The new location is ideal for discovering the city of Essen, as a whole range of important institutions and places are within walking distance. These include the Folkwang Museum, the Aalto Theatre and the pedestrian zone in the city centre.

Close to the city and yet surrounded by greenery, you can stay in a motorhome at Gesundheitspark Nienhausen in the heart of the Ruhr region. The park connects the two Ruhr metropolises of Gelsenkirchen and Essen. Whether it's the Arena auf Schalke in Gelsenkirchen, the world cultural heritage site Zeche Zollverein in Essen or the Starlight Express in Bochum; from here you have short distances to the entire Ruhr region.

Attractive motorhome site
The 32-hectare park invites you to explore its many attractions. You will find rest areas, exercise facilities and running tracks. The newly created mini-golf course invites you to play and linger. Romantic and excellently developed cycle paths on the old ore railway line or the Route of Industrial Heritage allow you to explore the district towns on "green paths". The "Revierpark Nienhausen" stop on the (tram) cultural line 107 is located at the entrance to the park. This line takes you to the city centres and cultural sights in Essen and Gelsenkirchen.
