‘Fractions’ is a growing, ever-unfinished light project within the framework of ‘Imagine Peace’, a collaborative project between the light art festivals in Essen, Copenhagen, Brixen, Pula and Oslo. It deals with the shards and fragments that wars leave behind in many ways and is also a metaphor for what peace means to each individual. Most of the motifs were created in a workshop in Copenhagen, where participants scratched, painted, collaged and drew. At the Essen Light Festival, the motifs come together to form a work that envelops parts of the façade like a second skin.
