‘Pallets’ is also a light installation as part of the ‘Imagine Peace’ light art festival cooperation project. It is based on the principles of sustainability, participation, community and the shared human value of peace. The installation consists of 24 Euro pallets and other building materials borrowed or donated by local actors. As darkness falls, the artwork comes to life. Projections onto the pallets show what ‘peace’ means to the 11th grade students of Burggymnasium. After the Essen Light Festival, ‘Pallets’ will move on to the other partner light art festivals.
