Just two years ago, a huge gap yawned exactly where the massive shell of the new WEBER1 complex now rises. Construction sites are subject to constant change, yet the shell stands for permanence and the future. This structure is wrapped in scaffolding: a delicate mesh of poles and levels that surrounds the rigid building like a second, temporary skin. It lends lightness to the static, creating glimpses and overlays. With his light installation “Under Construction 2”, Dennis Nolda creates an impressive dialogue between the solid, massive structure and the scaffolding, which in the light appears like a drawing in the air, a sketch-like vision.
