Essen Light Festival

Discover the Magic of Light

#13 | Big Picture | Projection

Daniel Margraf, Berlin

"Big Picture" - presented by main sponsor E.ON - is the centrepiece of this year's Essen Light Festival. In this monumental work by Berlin artist Daniel Margraf, visitors to the festival will interact with works of art from the Museum Folkwang. Kennedyplatz will be transformed into an oversized canvas for the pictorial worlds from the renowned museum's collection. Using his collage technique, the artist creates a new surreal world from the artworks, into which visitors can immerse themselves and thus become part of the art installation.

Playing time: from dusk till 10 pm | Fridays and Saturdays until 11:00 pm

Location: Kennedyplatz
