Supporters' Club Essen

Essen’s city centre is undergoing a major transformation: from a shopping destination to the emotional heart of the city. Attractive events in the heart of the city play an important role in this process. They help maintain high visitor numbers and keep the city centre attractive to all target groups. This is where the “Supporters‘ Club Essen” comes in. It is a network of enablers made up of local partners from retail, the real estate sector, shopping centres, service companies, industry and more. Through their annual financial contributions, they support EMG – Essen Marketing GmbH, the city management company, in creating an attractive programme of events in the city centre and thereby sustainably improving the city’s image. The funds are used to maintain existing in-house events at a high standard and launch new formats. External event organisers are also to be supported during the launch phase of their events.
