Kettwiger Panoramasteig
It lives up to its name: Spanning around 35 kilometres, the Kettwiger Panoramasteig offers unique panoramic views along the Ruhr and a truly special nature experience—all in the heart of the city of Essen.
The landscape along the trail is varied: north of the Ruhr, hikers pass through steep forests, by expansive fields and along urban residential areas. South of the Ruhr’s blue ribbon, forests alternate with agricultural areas. Along the way, hiking enthusiasts can enjoy not only plenty of greenery and nature, but also discover fascinating sights. There are also numerous places to stop for refreshments.
