Art at Moltkeplatz KaM e.V.

The KaM e.V. association looks after the sculpture ensemble on Moltkeplatz in Essen’s Südostviertel district. It comprises seven permanent contemporary works by artists Heinz Breloh, Hannes Forster, Gloria Friedmann, Lutz Fritsch, Friedrich Gräsel, Ansgar Nierhoff and Ulrich Rückriem. The ensemble has taken shape since 1982, following an initiative by Essen gallerist Jochen Krüper († 2002).

Since 2010, a temporary work by a young artist has also been exhibited for one year at a time, with the work changing annually.

Founded in 2006 by residents of the Moltkeviertel, KaM e.V. has assumed responsibility for maintaining and developing the Moltkeplatz art site and providing information about it under sponsorship agreements. The association also organises events as part of this work.
