Folkwang University of the Arts is headquartered in the former Benedictine abbey in Essen-Werden and has three other locations in Bochum, Duisburg and Dortmund.
Students and teachers from all over the world make the University of the Arts and Music an inspiring place where the Folkwang idea—the unity of the arts—has been alive since 1927.
At more than 300 events in the fields of music, theatre, dance, design and science, students demonstrate an outstanding artistic standard every year.
