“Kleine Gruga” Football Museum
Immerse yourselves in the history and successes of the long-established club Rot-Weiss-Essen and visit the open-air museum “Kleine Gruga” right next to the stadium on Hafenstraße.
The “Kleine Gruga” in Essen tells the story of RWE and showcases its achievements over the years. Club founder Georg Melches is honoured here with a special sculpture. Week after week, fans pass this unique exhibition on their way to the stadium, where they can remember the glory days of Essen’s traditional football club. The “Kleine Gruga” opened on 30 October 2021.
