Heissiwald
Those who want to do more than enjoy a relaxing walk in the woods and would also like to say hello to wild boar, mouflons, red deer and fallow deer should head to Heissiwald.
It lies west of Lake Baldeney and was created at the end of the 19th century by afforesting a previously treeless hilltop. In autumn, many families come to the forest to donate chestnuts and acorns they have collected.
