Schlosspark Borbeck

Vast lawns, a pond fed by the Schlossbach and woodland with walking trails surround Schloss Borbeck, which originally dates back to a 13th-century moated castle.

The 42-hectare park is a popular destination for anyone seeking a little escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, and has been freely open to everyone since it was acquired by the City of Essen in 1941.
