Theater Freudenhaus
The Freudenhaus Theater is the birthplace of Ruhr-area comedy.
This is where the “Friends of Italian Opera” first took to the stage in 1996, and they have retained their cult status ever since. This charming, cosy theatre in Essen-Steele presents the finest comedies “from the Ruhr” just as it is: colourful, diverse, quirky and, above all, lovable.
